Ongoing 2009 Pottery Sales Contribution

Pottery sale proceeds during this period will be donted to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan). The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer. An agrrement has been made with PanCan to support me in my efforts to promote sales and raise awareness of the terrible disease.

Crofut Winery Featured Artist

2009 Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Pow-Wow

One of the largest pow-wows in the state has become a popular annual sales event for John Chianelli Pottery and Woodturning. A large selection of ceramics and turnings are avaialbe for purchase at this three day event. Hundreds of dancers and thousands of guests attend this event each year to enjoy in the many varied dances, regalia, crafts and food booths.

Prior Lake Area Art Crawl

The first annual Prior Lake Area Art Crawl will be held Saturday, November 28th, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. John Chianelli Pottery and Woodurning will be hosted by Crofut Winery in Jordan, MN.

Two wood-fired pottery vases were selected for publication in Lark Publishing’s release of 500 Vases: Contemporary Explorations of a Timeless Form. The book has been available in bookstores since October 4, 2010. 500 Vases is part of a well-regarded line of ceramics titles in Lark’s esteemed 500 series. These gallery books have received wide praise in trade and general media coverage. This is the tenth book devoted to ceramics in the popular series which showcases the finest contemporary work from 285 international artists.
